Sometimes we have to balance the wishes and expectations of those we care about with what is best for our own families and even for the greater whole.
Looking back at my younger years I realized that I was a peacemaker always wanting peace and harmony, no conflict. It might seem admirable; but, one of the short comings can be ignoring issues that need attention. Also, I had difficulty in saying “NO”. This caused me to over commit to things that God never intended for me to be involved in. I rather be excellent in a few things than mediocre in many. It is okay to say “NO”.
Most diamonds are formed by high temperature and pressure deep within the earth. Diamonds are some of the most valuable and precious stones; so, pressure can refine you and make you more precious and valuable for his kingdom purposes.
Today, if you are struggling with a major decision remember that God will give you the wisdom to move in the right direction. Seek godly counsel. Make your decision and move forward in faith. Realize that God is always with you so lean on him while you walk through this new experience.
